We realize and understand how distressing it can be to see a beautiful Heritage tree removed.  Unfortunately, your neighbor’s tree had rot at the base and a large vertical split in it.  (see attached photo).  We recommended removal as a safety issue, not only for our customer’s safety, but for the safety of the neighboring properties.  It is our responsibly and liability to inform our customers of any tree that is hazardous to life and property.  For the 43 years we have been in business it has always been our policy to never remove a tree that is still healthy and safe unless our customer insists on the removal.
